Abstract
The historical and archaeological evidence suggests that there is possible potential for archaeological remains of all periods, and in particular a high potential for Roman remains. The possible presence of prehistoric and Saxon deposits of high significance, due to their rarity and favourable preservation conditions, is also noted.
