Abstract

Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Harbour Energy Group to undertake an archaeological evaluation along the route of the Viking Carbon Capture and Storage pipeline. The pipeline route extends from Immingham (NGR 514655 415720) in the north to Theddlethorpe (NGR 548407 387516) in the south. The archaeological evaluation comprised the excavation, investigation and recording of 982 trial trenches and was carried out between 15 April to 13 December 2024.
